NATASHA KAPLINSKY OBE

Natasha spent many years as the main news anchor on Sky News, BBC News, Channel 4 and ITV, and was the very first winner of Strictly Come Dancing with her partner Brendan Cole; she co-hosted the second series with Bruce Forsyth.

 

In 2014, the government appointed her a Holocaust Commissioner and in 2017, she was awarded an OBE. Natasha is currently the President of the British Board of Film Classification.

Co-Founder of Lastminute.com, Baroness Lane-Fox of Soho was influential in starting the UK’s dot com boom in the late 1990s. Today she is a businesswoman, philanthropist and public servant, with many roles. She has been a crossbench peer in the House of Lords since March 2013, becoming its youngest female member at the time.

 

From 2009 until 2013, Baroness Lane-Fox was Digital Champion for the UK. Last year she was appointed as a member of the Joint Committee on National Security Strategy. She serves as Patron of AbilityNet, Reprieve and Just For Kids Law. She sits on the board of Chanel, The Donmar Waterhouse and The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.

 

In 2013, Baroness Lane-Fox was named as one of the 100 most powerful women in the UK by Woman's Hour on BBC Radio 4. In 2016, she was made a Distinguished Fellow of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, by HRH The Duke of Kent, BCS's Patron.

She is also currently the President of the British Chambers of Commerce.

Mumsnet has grown into the UK's busiest and most influential network for parents, with over 10 million unique uses per month. It was awarded the Online Comment Site of the Year (Editorial Intelligence Comment Awards) in 2011 and 2014.

 

Justine was the Institute of Internal Communication Communicator of the Year in 2014, EY Entrepreneur of the Year London & South Winner in 2016 and was one of the EU-Startup's Top 50 Most Influential Women in Start-ups and VC in 2019. Before Mumsnet, Justine was a journalist for The Daily Telegraph and The Times, and before that, she was an economist and strategist for SG Warburg.

In early 2008, Abi launched Spabreaks.com with a team of two interns, just four months after her first son was born.  Having started the company in the middle of a recession, Spabreaks.com reached the number two position in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 in 2012 following revenue growth from £250k in 2009, to £3.9m in 2010, £6.8m in 2011 and £11m in 2012.  By 2018 turnover reached over £25m. 

 

Today Spabreaks.com sends more than 6000 people on spa days and breaks each week, and has a customer database of more than £1million customers.  The number of spas they work with now exceeds 900 in the UK and overseas; and the team has grown to more than 90 members of staff.
